No Doubt was the second concert I ever went to – the first being New Kids on the Block. 🤣🥳
I was 15 and went with my high school boyfriend and some friends to a venue, that has since long been closed, called the boathouse in Norfolk, Virginia. In my opinion, this is one of the best venues that ever existed. It was right on the water. It was a great spot for music and it was a huge open space, but still felt intimate.
I remember standing directly in the front of the stage. I was looking directly at Gwen’s feet and right up at her. The venue had no seats, just standing (and pushing) room. Haha!
She belted out so many fun tracks – and even sang a short rendition of a Bettles song, “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da.” I’m not sure if she ever sang that in public again, but it was such a fun addition to the set when I was already such a huge fan of hers and the band.
Although we won’t be next to the stage this time, we have some great seats and we’re going to get to experience the sphere and all that it has to offer in Vegas with an amazing band really, we couldn’t ask for anything better. 😍
