We woke up in Kingman and reset the truck as we prepped for later tonight, Las Vegas.
We filled up with gas at a surprisingly decent price, $4.35, and grabbed a quick breakfast at McDonald’s so we could get on the road- and we quickly realized we were seeing west coast prices! An Egg McMuffin $7 – NOT a decent price!
We drove through the Kingman Route 66 Shield and visited the Kingman Route 66 Visitor Center. This visitor center’s staff is so kind and you can tell they truly love what they do and enjoy talking to visitors.

We only had a short trip today, so we wanted to make the most of it. We realized we were going to drive right past the Hoover Dam and Lake Meade. So we pulled in to check it out. There was a security check, which makes sense as this is a power source for multiple states. Although it is a very serious check, (but we knew we didn’t have anything to worry about), I kept asking Jay if it reminded him of the show we watch, Contraband. Hahaha!

The view was gorgeous! And the Hoover Dam is amazing when you realize how much it powers and runs. Lake Meade is truly beautiful – it’s blue as far as the eye can see. 🩵

After jammin’ out to No Doubt in the truck, we arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada – finally! We have the concert for No Doubt tonight at the Sphere! I am so excited. This was one of my first concerts and I love the album this concert is highlighting, Tragic Kingdom.

Our room was already ready when we checked in and we went and had a yummy lunch in the Casino, at Broadway Burger Bar.
Now off to get ready for the concert! We will stay in Vegas tonight, and then tomorrow, we finish off Route 66 and land in California!
